Wells of Life Co-Founder, Nick Jordan, Strongly Supports Clinton Global Initiative While Continuing His Quest to Provide Clean Drinking Water in Africa

Laguna Beach, Calif., September 25, 2009. Wells of Life Co-Founder, Nick Jordan, pledges his support to the Clinton Global Initiative with his own initiatives that closely follow Clinton's purpose. Nick Jordan plans on representing Wells of Life at the next annual conference planned for September of 2010. Jordan aims to inspire and empower others to pledge the same support in combating poverty, disease, and putting an end to global suffering.

"It is a personal goal of mine to attend next year's event and represent Wells of Life and the work we do to drill water wells in Africa. I am confident in our ability to provide one community each week with its own new water well," states Nick Jordan, whose non-profit organization is dedicated to providing clean drinking water in African communities. In East Africa, water-related diseases kill one in four children who die before the age of 5, while 70% of hospital visits are caused by unsafe drinking water.

Nick Jordan vigilantly monitored the 5th Clinton Global Initiative Conference from his computer all day Tuesday, September 23, 2009. The weeklong conference, which attracted the largest attendance in its history with 60 heads of state, 400 individual philanthropists, 500 business leaders, national representatives from 84 different nations and 46 billion dollars in donations throughout its four-year history, left Nick Jordan feeling astounded and inspired, yet somewhat unfulfilled that little coverage was featured on the evening news. "I believe it should be of great national interest to know how much good is being done by so many. This type of news needs to be spread and celebrated across the nation," says Jordan.

"Life is a precious thing, in my opinion, the most precious of all. Creating a world with access to clean drinking water for all is a founding principle of Wells of Life. The gift of life is something so remarkable and newsworthy that we should all have the ability to share." Jordan aims to inspire and spread awareness of both the Clinton Global Initiative and Wells of Life in order to bring immediate solutions to these imperative worldwide challenges.
